Morogoro

Of course there was also time for some relaxation, sightseeing and visit some interesting places.

Fauna at Morogoro

We saw some amazing species. Every day we discovered new ones, here is a selection.

Sokoine University of Agriculture, Morogoro

During the first week of the trip me and several other Belgian biology students had to carry out a research in Morogoro. We investigated the coevolution of plants and their pollinators.

Internship in Tanzania

July 2012
Ruaha National Park

After our research was done, we went to discover more of Tanzania. One week of constant safaris in Ruaha was amazing. We saw some spectacular species (e.g. leopard at 5 meters from our bus).

Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After a week of savannah it was time for the rain forest! It was a paradise for butterflies. We found the endemic monkey species Sanje mangabey and followed the group for a while.

Saadani National Park

The last trip was to a Park at the sea! Mangroves, coral reefs, savannah, coastal forests, a river, it was all there.
